KHAS – Meeting on Monday, 8th June

Dear KHAS Member

Our next meeting will be on Monday, 8th June at 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start at the Senior Citizens Club, Abbey End car park.

Our speaker will be Julian Davey, who some of you may remember from our outing to Trinity Church in Arrow. Julian will be talking on the Curious History of the Conways.

This will be our last meeting before the Summer outings.

  • Broughton Castle, Banbury on Saturday, 11th July 2pm
  • St Mary’s Guildhall, Coventry on Saturday, 8th August 2pm

There are, I believe, still places available on both but don’t leave it too long if you are interested.

For those who have booked, you should have received an email from Sue with details of the visit. If you haven’t seen it in your inbox, please check you spam/junk folder or let us know by replying to this email.

The museum is still closed, awaiting connection to the electricity substation, however we are running tours on Sundays using the KR app for which we have a couple of iPads if you can’t get it on your phone.  You would be most welcome to join us.

The museum door is open for book sales and donations and we welcome anyone who can spare an occasional Sunday afternoon to help out. Please let us know, by replying to this email. My thanks to those who have already volunteered and those who worked hard at the Living History event on May 24th, many in costume in the sweltering heat.

Looking forward to seeing you on Monday night,

Kind regards and good wishes,

Tony Shakespeare
