Membership Types Available

The following information details the various forms of membership available to newcomers:

Membership:

This is open to all who are interested in the objective of the Society, subject to an approved application. Membership shall lapse if the subscription remains unpaid three months after it is due, and may be terminated in any particular case by a resolution of the Committee. The membership fees for 2026 / 2027 will be £12.50 per annum per person, £20 per couple (as approved at the 2025 AGM), which entitles the member(s) to a free copy of Kenilworth History worth £6, published annually.

Junior Membership:

Junior Membership is open to individuals under the age of 16 who endorse the objectives of the Society, at no charge. A completed Junior Membership application form must be submitted, including parental or guardian consent.

All Junior Members must be accompanied by a responsible adult at Society meetings and events unless otherwise stated.

Participation by Junior Members is subject to the Society’s Safeguarding Policy. The Society does not accept parental responsibility for Junior Members, and responsibility remains with the accompanying adult at all times.

Honorary Membership:

This may be granted by the Committee on such terms and for such period as the Committee shall decide in each case.

Meetings

These are normally held monthly. All are welcome, and entry for non-members costs £2. See the KHAS Programme page for details of forthcoming meetings.

Notes on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

In 2018, the current Data Protection Act, which gave protection to individuals against inappropriate use of their personal information, was replaced by a more stringent set of rules, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In order to comply with this, and to assure our members of KHAS’s commitment to data protection, the KHAS Application Form contains a GDPR declaration section. KHAS will not pass on your personal details to other organisations.
