What's On?

KHAS Meeting on 9th October 2023

Dear KHAS Member

As you are all very well aware some significant archaeology has been discovered at the swimming pool site on Abbey Fields.  At our next meeting on Monday 9th October 2023 our speaker will be from Archaeology Warwickshire and will be giving us some up to date details of their findings.  Our meeting will start, as usual, at 7.45pm sharp.

As some of you may know, I am a member of the Simon de Montfort Society in Evesham.  Every year they hold a very interesting and entertaining “Day School” in Evesham and I am attaching a copy of their flyer giving details of their speakers and events this year, on the 14th October.  I will be there, as I am every year, and if anyone else is interested in attending full details for booking are on the flyer.

I look forward to seeing you all at our meeting on the 9th.

With best wishes

Jan Cooper

And, as one KHAS member just told me, according to this piece of BBC local news on the Abbey Fields Swimming Pool,  bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-66957988 members of the public can visit the ruins discovered there this Tuesday 3rd between 9am and 5pm.
