Committee Members & Museum Volunteers Needed!

The Kenilworth History & Archaeology Society (KHAS) was originally founded in 1962 to promote an interest in and to further research Kenilworth’s very long and colourful history.

We meet on the evening of the 2nd Monday of the month from September to June when guest speakers present illustrated talks on a variety of historical topics. During July and August visits are arranged to places of historical interest.

We are always keen to welcome new members and are also currently seeking potential new Committee members to help run the Society.

The KHAS also operate the Abbey Museum, on Abbey Fields, which is open from Easter to September on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and on other occasions for group visits by arrangement. Admission to the museum is free of charge but donations are gratefully accepted since we do not receive any funding. Please do come and visit us to learn more about Kenilworth’s history from the Bronze Age onwards, discover how its magnificent medieval Priory/Abbey once looked and how much of its archaeology still remains below the ground.

Volunteers to help as Room Stewards or Supervisors are also currently being sought.

Please visit our website khas.co.uk/join-khas/ for further information on how to become a member of KHAS and to view our current programme and activities.
